Re: 89 RS vs 94 z28

I think he meant your car... but I doubt your car would survive that... Of course it might...

But yeah you've got several grand worth of work ahead of you to beat him the easy way. You could spend years tuning and tweaking and making your car fast.... but htat's not the easy way.

REALLY!!!! WOW!! That's amazing. I wonder why you would say that considering it has a complete list of total upgrades and different results to each upgrade done to each stage of the mods but I guess some people find humor in that.

Here is the full link if you want, http://www.goingfaster.com/spo/325_h...chevrolet.html

It is because that author overlooks the key aspects of TBI performance. It is a joke founded with zero facts and or data to support his claims. For every one factual statement made he makes four fictitious ones. Those of us with cam'd and tuned LO3 set-ups can rebuke the majority of his claims. To those of us who have turned a wrench on a TBI set-up, unlike that author, it is very humerous .

Whatever you say ye of all so great knowledge! If you bothered to look through several of the articles, you'll see setups for carbs also and there is nothing "authored" about it.

The articles are all combined from different sources and not from ONE particular author. It is just different records of different peoples results with different bolt ons and mods and if I'm not mistaken, that's what RallySportlover was looking for......ideas. The bottom line is he's the one that's going to decide what to do with his car.

I appologise, you were right. I mistook that link for another one that surfaces all the time which does have ficticious bologna in it. It has a similar address so and jumped the gun a bit. However, be careful, because in that link they follow an LG4 and he has an LO3 in his 89. Modding them is similar but not the same. FWIW.

Re: 89 RS vs 94 z28

When I originally got into modding my car I followed that build and ended up with the wrong cam. I bought a flat tappet rebuilt 305 and installed the cam in it, car ran ok but wouldn't idle; lobe seperation was to narrow. Do be aware of that, your block is a roller block, your heads are swirl port heads, and you MUST learn to program proms for your vehicle to get it to respond to the mods.

Like I said, just here to help RSLover. He can make that determination as to what to do. There is several articles in there that have great info from different ranges of horsepower that is if......you can look past the moronic crap on the mainpage!
