Last night I took on a v6 2005 Mustang in my 87 Camaro with a 350. At the start I got a little over a car length lead but once we hit third gear, the mustang came back a few feet. After that we stayed about where we were till the end. In the end I won it by about 3/4 of a car length. I was impressed by the power my car had off the line, but disappointed with how it performed once we got into the higher speeds (around 50).
Would adding horse power help with the higher speeds performance?
