You guys r taking this 2 far. Sowhat he drives a ford. I dont have a poroblem with it, i know alot of ford guys, just cause they drive a ford dosent make them jerks. Everyone gets cockey about the car they love just depends on which car it is.

I might crack a ford joke every once in a wile but it is all in good fun dont take it the wrong way.

 

I think mustangs are over rated. I purchased a brand new one and it was a piece of crap. I think that was 91. Then I got another one in 96 and threw a rod in that. In 05 I puchased my first third, my second firebird.(first was an 76) which I love driving. Just pickup a 02 formula, fast as s*&t. I dont know what the hoopla is with mustangs. Most of the drivers are ugly 40 y.o. women anyway.

 

Thats an understandable reason to not like them. I personally have had a few and mine runs hard for the little I have into it. Dads went 11s with Explorer heads, stock cam and a good chassis, and none we have had have ever left us stranded or even broke on us. Now the Cavlier we had (first new GM we got) was in a junk yard at 65,000 miles. Didn't stop us from buying GM vehicles, but was not the best experience.

 

If you couldn't control your car the way you were driving then cool it a little bit. Take corner slower and exit with less gas. Once you're comfortable enough gradually start taking it a little more aggressively until you able to drive your car on the limit.

 

OK , Ill **** everyone off now. And I DO drive a third. I have been driving for 30 years. When I was in high school the parking lot looked like the muscle car auctions. From superbirds to 68 firebird convertables. We use to drive each others cars all the time. I had a V8 Vega. I have never driven or seen a third come close to the power. You guys talk like this guy is driving a 500 HP car. Some poeple just cant drive. They guy has kids and a wife he is an adult. He has the right idea, go to a empty parking lot and act like a *******. Then go back, park it in the garage and drive the caravan till next time.

 

its cool that you wanna learn to drive but find somewhere safe and away from cops Im still a kid Ill admit it Im 19 and just got my bird for 200 $ but if you wanna learn how to drive what I did was I bought an old beater pickup and took it out in the fields and pastures...... Im a farmboy so maybe you could make friends with someone who owns some land cuz out there there is no one to hurt but yourself

this guy has a point I have yet to be impressed by the horsepower of a third... not saying its impossible just havent seen it yet Ive got a 450 horse car that weighs 1970 lbs after experiencing that a third is really pathetic I have mine cuz it looks ok and get better mileage
