My friend just got a 02 SS SLP camaro has factory installed slp exhaust and cat. It also has slp long tubes, maf, and air lid. We raced from a stop he had no spin and i spun pretty bad but my low end was so much better then the ls1's i was about two cars ahead of him up until the end of 2nd then he past me by the time we got to the quarter mile mark he was ahead by 3. I decided to race him at a 10mph roll so i wouldnt spin and i got ahead of even more and he didnt pass me until i shifted into 3 (drive). Even though the ls1's faster i was very happy that i somewhat kept up and that my l98 had alot more low end grunt. The SS is really clean the only reason i think i stuck with him as good as i did up to is because its not a 6 speed car its a 4l60e. Its signed by ed hamburger and has slp facotry stickers inside the door and says its a 345hp performance package.

 

Damn...kept up with a 12 second car, good races!

 

sounds about right. lid/ full exausted ls1's shoudl trap around 110mph in the 1/4 mile. a buddy of mine with an 01 trans am ws6 6 speed had a lid/ longtubes and exaust and was hittn low 13''s about 110mph.
