third gen vs third gen question
Hi guys,
I was wondering what your thoughts are on how these two cars would do against each other?
1991 G92 firebird formula LB9 305 5 speed all stock VS 1991 formula 350 stock in similar mechanical conditions.
Do you think these cars are fairly evenly matched?
The G92 makes 230 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque and has a 3.42 posi rear end
The formula 350 has 245 hp and 340 lb - ft of torque and had 3.21 posi rear end.

Re: third gen vs third gen question
Is the 350 car a stick or auto. Should be a close race either way.

most definitely will come down to driver.
The 350 will edge it off the line but who knows whatll happen down the track

Re: third gen vs third gen question
The L98 car will rip the LB9 off the line by 1-2 cars. The LB9 will do some catching up but by the quarter the 350 will have a 1/2 car to a fender lead.

Re: third gen vs third gen question
I've seen a LB9 5spd beat a L98 auto in a race, if it was me I would say it's a drivers race and winner is decided by the launch.

Re: third gen vs third gen question
The launch defintely wins this race, once underway these cars will be awfully close. The extra power of the 350's gonna be gobbled up by the slushbox.
