I do believe i just had the best day ive had in a long while, my buddies and i were all sitting aorund bs-ing about our cars and of course,everyone thinks theirs is top **** and i happen to have that one friend that believes in the newer the faster idea. He owns the new mustang...but in a v6, , so for a little fun i said "well how about we race and whoever loses buys lunch?" So we go out of town to dynamite road, a big empty straight shot for about oh...15-20 miles, so i pull up and he's sitting there revving his engine like a tard, and keep in mind, hes got an automatic and he ripped his exhaust off, so he sounds like a honda and the light turns green and he just guns it, i had my car at about 2500 for a mild take off, next thing i know im right up on him and i just blew by him, last time i saw my speedo it was pinned (i still have the 85 mph), then i get a call from him and he just started blowing out excuses and even tried telling me "well i rotated my tires so its a bit slower" which....makes no sense whatsoever. Needless to say i got lunch out of the deal so i'm pretty happy

 

Interesting. He has the power to weight ratio advantage. He should have been able to beat you... Congrats!

 

thats what i figured, but hes also got the tech skills of a monkey so i dunno what he tried doing to that thing

 

Ya, I thought he would have had you. But who knows what other so-called home do-it-yerself mods he's done to compromise his performance.
