Just gotta say, I enjoy the TGO forums, and reading through this secton I also really enjoy all the flaming that goes on... Good times.

Anyways, I don't have too much to say yet, but I'm bored and feel like posting some of my losses.

First off, my car is a completely stock 89 RS, 305 tbi automatic. Pretty brutal. I have big plans for it, but it's gonna be a long time. Hell, right now it doesnt even run!

Anyways, one of my good buddies bought a 96 mustang about the same time I got my camaro... can't remember the engine, it's a v8 and he's got a manual transmission. I've raced him every possible way, from stoplights, rolling starts, everything, and I've lost everytime, lol. Ah well... one day.

Another of my good friends has an 86 camaro, with a carbed 305 and manual, we've done a few rolling starts races and he always beats me off the start, but I seem to have a bit higher top speed than him... but that's still a lose.

The last race was against an absolutely GORGEOUS '69 camaro... literally a perfect car. Red and white, it sounded mean... what I wouldnt give to get my hands on one of those. Anyways, I was riding with 3 people plus luggage in my car, so it's heavier than anything (road trips in camaros = fun times!) and it was on a main strip... I give it the best I can, but the 69 takes me no problem, repeatedly... he wasn't even trying. Caught him at the last light before he turned off and told him he had a beautiful car. Even though I didn't make a good showing for myself, at least I got to oggle his car for a few blocks.

That's basically it right now... I really need to get my baby running. Eventually want to do an engine swap, I don't really feel it's worth it to pour a whole bunch of money into a 305 tbi :P

 

awesome, hey at least your rolling in a f-body haha...... all my buddys thought my old l03 car was fast as **** lol......... good stuff since most of them never road in it. They just always saw me smoking my tires and sliding around corners....... it was admittedly the best handeling car i've ever drove in tho!

i'd say stick to neons and civics for now but, honestly every1 around here has turbo's on there pos's....... basically the lil smogger v8 will get no respect haha.

i've got an 89 iroc with a lb9 5 speed now and it's a blast for stop light racing. Can easily rape imports due to there lack of bottom end. hell i've even went head to head with a couple lt1 camaros with it till like 60-80mph then it's all taillights. That should change soon tho crane 2032 cam, ported 416 heads with backcut valves and a ported and siamesed intake are soon 2 come! All i want is 13s plenty easy to acheive imo but, we'll c.
