I really dont think that you should have a problem. Those RSX's weren't all that fast, especially a basic one (not S).

I raced my friends type s back when i recently bought my 85 z28 5spd lg4. My car ran like crap and i got him off the line but then he beat me by a car. You should have no problems beating his RSX just get a good launch

You're not going to destroy him by any means. You guys should both be mid 15's I'd imagine. If you can get off the line well, you should stay ahead of him, but don't expect to be catching him if he gets you off the line...unless he can't drive stick at all.

Re: 91 z28 vs 02 RSX
From what I can see, many of them trap upper 80s to 90mph...which is about exactly what a stock LB9/auto will do...so you are not going to destroy him unless you leave the line well and he doesn't.
How much nitrous?
Off the bottle, as long as you don't boil your tires...you should beat him by a bit because you'll pull on him early on. If he's spraying a 50-75 shot, he should come around you up top.

Re: 91 z28 vs 02 RSX
they are considerably light cars, around 2800 lbs. Should be a mid 15 car. You said he does have nitrous installed on the car, so it may be considerably faster than that now, if that is true. Even though mine (03 type s) only has 200 hp, its faster than my lb9 had with full exhuast because it weighs significantly less.

but the one he's racing is the regular rsx which is i think 140 or 160hp. 40-60 hp less then the type S is a big difference
