My first kill!!!
I am sitting at a light when this mitsubishi eclipse pulls up next to me. Its the new v6 model and has probably 19 or 20 inch spinners on it and a body kit thats scraping the ground. On top of that, the guy driving has a mohawk and is blaring some rap song as loud as the stereo will go. He rolls down his window and asked me what junkyard I pulled my piece of crap out of and I just laugh. He starts revving his engine and im still just laughing. Light turns green and he spins the crap out of his tires, by 60 he was 5 or 6 cars back. I start slowing down cuz my radar detector starts going off and he wizzes by me and flips me off and when i get to the next light guess who's sitting on the side of the road getting a ticket. I slow down and he wont even look at me. Sorry if I rambled, just wanted to share my first kill in my first car. A $600 dollar car no less. I guess the 350 will pull a 270 horse v6.

RIGHT ON!!! The jerk instigated the race, insults your ride, then flips you off after getting owned. His parents probably bought him the car. Hope the cop threw the book at him.

Of course the fact that it is 3 different colors and smokes could be part of it...
I can't wait to get it inspected
but yea. ultimate irony going on in this race

Re: My first kill!!!
the best part is the fact that I saw him again this morning and he said he wanted to do it again cuz he said he got bad traction. I asked him when he wanted to do it and he said right now. I don't know if any of you know bel air md, but there is a huge bypass with 3 lanes. We pull up to a red light and he says we go on green. duh! I let him leave first and he gets a pretty good start and I still had 4 cars on him at 70mph. btw I asked him how much the ticket was and get this, he wasn't even wearing his seatbelt when he got pulled over. The ticket is for 70 in a 45 and a seatbelt violation. haha. $350 dollar ticket and he wanted to race again. mabye the gel for his mohawk seeped into his brain idk. Im just proud of my little mystery engine.

yea im from forest hill so i know what you mean about the bypass, i got caught racing a probe on the bypass 2 years ago, you have to watch for cops up around the wawa in hickory and by the detention center cause there are alot of cops around there, mabye we should line up some time and se how your mystery 350 does against my little old 305

Re: My first kill!!!
that would be great, with or without the 200 shot? haha, but yea I know what you mean about cops. A friend of mine with an 06 wrx sti, stage 3 with all sorts of cobb crap, was racing a supercharged cobra. I was with him but we did get pulled over. The cop was so angry about us racing he wanted to take us all to jail haha. He got off with a ticket though

Re: My first kill!!!
yea i got real lucky because the only proof that they had was they heard my car they never actually clocked my speed so i just got a warning for wreckless driving, then they illegally searched my car and i ended up in jail anyway but thats a whole nother story, i only spray my car at the track on slicks, i have a slight traction problem on the street, do you ever go to cecil on wednesday or friday nights

I have been up there with friends but I have not taken my car up there. Can't drive alone on a permit. The day I get my license though, you can be sure I will be up there

Nice kill! That Hickory WaWa is a cop magnet though, I always see cops on that strip of the bypass. What color was that Eclipse? There's an one that would fit that description that I would always see in the HCC parking lot. Maybe your mystery 350 and my L98 could line up sometime too.

Re: My first kill!!!
Yea anytime, didn't know there were so many third gen's in harford county. The eclipse was a black one and it was the new body style, like 05 or newer. I felt a lot better about my $600 car when it beat a probably 20k car. those eclipse's have a pretty stout v6. If they were rwd they might be a bigger threat. idk im just still proud of my beater. lol haha

if driven correctly, the new v6 eclipses can be very quick
they are a true girls car however still doesnt change the fact that 70% of them are owned by women

I had a similar situation that I posted about here. It was with an 08 eclipse that still had the temp tags on. By the time I hit second gear he was in my rear view mirror. I think one of the car magazine posted a 1/4 mile for those cars in the high 14s, but I know that some of them can run in the mid 14s. Still, the expression on their faces is priceless when they get whooped by a 16 year old car with pealing paint.

Re: My first kill!!!
NICE KILL! Doesnt it feel great to shut up a loudmouth? Ive done that a few times in my GN to some people. I currently got my old boss who has a 300ZX with a carbed 350/th350 in it wanting a piece of my GN.
So many people think its a MCSS, its not funny. I guess the "Grand National Intercooled" badge on the fender means nothing.
Ive gone by sooooo many ricers spinning the Michelins and a they get that
look on there faces. And then they ask what size V8 I have and if I was spraying. Its not like you CANT hear the turbo on my car....
You guys should come to Cecil. $15 to race on a Friday night is cheaper than a $300+ street racing ticket...
