I have a 1989 Camaro RS 5.0 305 TBI ive gotten in a few quick races...

There was an 02/03 Mustang GT that was about 5 car lengths ahead of me and I see his arm go out the window waving me on. SO I hear his motor start roaring and I hit the gas, I start pulling on him an get about 1 to 2 lengths away then the radar detector started going off so I shut it down. Then I asked if he wanted to go because we were at a stoplight, then his girlfriend said shut the f*ck up fa*got Im 8 months pregnant....lmfao oops.

Z3 trying to pull on me, I was talking to some guy on a R1 crotch rocket then the light turned green, im about 6 lengths on the crotch rocket an I see a Z3 start flying up towards me so I hit the gas when he was probally 5 lengths on me an he couldnt keep up I was surprised


Lexus Is300....I beat him then he beat me sort of thing

thats all I can think of right now. All I know that is done to my Maro is a dynomax exhaust. Im thinking gears were done too because that car moves pretty quick for a 305tbi. I was REALLY surprised that I started pulling on a 02 GT. Just figured Id share

Are u saying u were six lengths ahead of an R1? A 10 second stock bike? in a 305 tbi "maro"? and its Camaro ok...

 

maybe he started on the left green arrow and the bike waited for the green light

Yea, I'm with the not racing crowd - at least for the Mustang "race". A mostly stock L03 is running a mid-15 on a good day, the Mustang would be almost a second quicker, my modded 305 would be a better race, and still probably come in second to all but the slowest of the 99+ V8 powered Mustangs - I have beaten a 99+ auto/vert GT in 3 back to back pulls.

The Z3 might be an interesting race - they have a variety of engine packages from 118hp on up through 230hp, the M version had a 325hp verison, so its entirely possible that racing a 1.8 liter one from a stop that would you pull a holeshot w/ the v8 torque.

Dunno about the IS300 - they have a couple different motor packages as well.

just remember stock civics have 500hp and thats a 4 banger his 305 v-8 must have twice that so given rust coefficient he should be pulling 999 hp right and that puts him inthe low 6's so ofcourse he beat the r1 by 6

 

I know, 925 hp at the flexplate will only run 9.67 @ at 3700lbs....

Now when you turn the nitrous on....

lol you forgot that custom exhaust, since it removes the heavy manifolds shaves umm (trying to think as unrealistic as poss.) 900 lbs so where does that put him lol

dude u didnt beat a stang or a bmw or an r1 or even an is300 but its kool you'll get there. with all the mods i have (listed in sig) im sure id only pull 12's. it takes a lot of work or a lot of nos
