1992 RS with some mods. Fast?
Hello everyone, I'm new to the site. I've owned several Camaros, but this will be my first 3rd gen. I have a 1994 Camaro Z28 convertible auto that's msotly stock and I have a 1997 Camaro V6 with some bells and whistles to put it into the 14.3@98mph mark. I built the V6 to do something somewhat unique, and it definitely got attention at the track, especially when I knocked down modular motor mustangs all night long.
Anyway, I just picked up a '92 Camaro RS 25th anniversary edition with T-tops... Stock came with a 305 motor and a 5speed transmission.
It comes with some mods. One of them is an LT4 motor and another is a T56... Heads are fully ported and polished by Big Al's toybox, camshaft is 236/242* .555/.576 lift 112LSA, electric water pump, underdrive pulleys, double roller timing chain, Aluminum flywheel, Spec stg. 3 cable clutch, built T56 swap, 3.73:1 gears, full adjustable drag suspension, torque arm relocation from trans to the subframe, SFCs, 255/50R16 tires and weight loss to about 3,000 pounds. also it's tuned.
The car runs great and pulls with no misfires, engine was jus rebuilt, and the car was never raced. I know the LT4 with the GM hotcam claims 425+ horsepower, so I'd guess this setup to be near the 500 mark. I'd guess I'll be in the 12s somewhere.
Does anyone have any guesses as to horsepower and quarter mile times?
Anyone have any guesses as to ET and horsepower?
