raced a guy saturday. opened my mouth to soon before i could think. so we raced but the whole time i didnt think about how bad my car spin with out slicks till we raced. my car got raped out of the hole. by 4 lenths i pulled 3 back before end of third. so the thing is his son works for me. i told him to tell his dad that i want to race him with my et streets on the car and take my air filter off. he called his dad and his dad said my cars faster bc it dont have to change anything. i dont need no slicks. so what would yall do? race again or what?

What would I do? Accept getting beat and move on. Why hold a grudge, make excuses and try to race him again with track tires on? Losing is not the end of the world, and who cares if he claims he has a faster car, he WON the race.

i just want a race at the track a (SAFE RACE). i will be the 1st to say im scared on the street dont want to loss my lic. so after 70 i let off. where both cars can hook. see what happens. what so wrong with calling him out to strip? no escuse he won! do u guys think he would beat me if both cars hooked?

 

its not that tires dont mean anything, the the race happened, and you lost. Your car may be faster with better tires, but thats not the way it was, this is how street racing works. I would just let it go and not pester them for a showdown at the track.

im not going to say nothing more to him about it but if he wants to race again i will put the tires on. but he will have to barrow the car again lol but the really sad thing is a 2,000 dollar car only got beat by that much by 30,000 dollar one

My tires are $80 riken raptors, not exactly expensive. Just hold off on flooring it for a second when you start, just go to half throttle or something for a second.

 

learn how to drive.. you have an auto, its alot easier to hook than a stick.. just play with the pedal.. roll into it instead of stomping..

yes ur right but i have to get to say 20 to open it up. i rolled out of the hole 1/4 wot but when he jump out on me hard i try to give it more 1/2 wot to catch up it start spin so i give it to it then said f this but would of win but it wasnt worth it to keep racing after 70 to me. my life mean more than that!! ***** excuse. i know!!!
one more thing i do need to learn how to drive the car bc i have had the gears 3 weeks changed from 3.08 to 3.73 and living in town never get on it. my 8.7 was on 3.08's/drs with 2.05 60's going to the track friday to see what it runs with the 3.73/ drs.

in that case, you just need practice.. i know what traction problems are.. i only run a 245/50-16 bfg on the street.. if i put my foot in it, i have NO traction till 3rd gear.. i'm looking at just running my QTP's full time with a spool..

 

i dont like practicing to much . t5 are weak i hear. i dont shift it hard too. trying to make last. i would not of wasted the gas to get the camaro out on that mustang

 

HA HA HA!!!! I got my tail handed to me by a 4th gen with street tire and I do have DRs. He had me from the time I let off the clutch because I was spinning like crazy. BUT GUESS WHAT!!! I still got beat by a car worth way more than mine that I should be able to beat any day of the week, well any day except for that one.

Bottom line,

9.93 @ 135 slamming the limiter when the shift light didnt come on, then a 10.02 @ 136 spinning out of the hole before sent to the tower to get certified for 9s... All motor 393, unported AFR 185s, 690 lift solid roller, Ford Racing intake, carb, Jericho 4-speed all on a stock chassis with a 6 point, subframes and welded tq boxes... A 350 wouldnt do anything to this car, seeing as the motor is 351 based to begin with. Man you need to lay off the crack pipe and read a magazine or two.

My sig says mid 12s, and did so with 18" wheels and tires out front, 17s out back, stock motor with valves in the heads and an intake, stock tranny, stock rear, basically bolt ons minus the valves.

I don't think my junk is fast, I will be the first one to say it isn't, we just build fast stuff for whats done. Also have an explorer motor in a fox went 12.14 @ 111 with a 1.58 60', stock chassis, stock T5, and bolt ons.



Also have videos of every single one of the cars, we attend tons of events a year, and never fail to prove someone what we have done. Feel free to come by Etown, NED, or LVD next summer, I will gladly show you what we have is what we have!

 

if you didn't get what i said i was referring to a stock fox chassis. with all the reinforcements you got it should solid. Shouldn't need a shift light to shift either....

 

Try driving a car that goes 0-135 mph in under 10 seconds and tell me a shift light doesnt make you more consistent... Again, if you dont have experience or know, why are you even posting? Not to mention its an RPM recall light to show the RPM range on a run. Why am I even telling this to a kid who has never been down a 1/4 mile in 15 seconds let alone 9 seconds?

As far mustangs having weak chassis ,Thats just crazy talk there's noway there would be fox bodys all over the US running 11,10, and even 9s with a stock chassis.

Of course a stroked 350 would, but he seems to think the 350 is the be all and end all and no fox body could handle one... thats laughable.

I have seen 8 second stock chassis cars, not really sure where the Fbody shines in this area, but be sure to enlighten me.

I post about what I know, the same cannot be said for some members. If I dont know about the car being asked about, I dont post. Having 6 mustangs here at the house, I have a little experience working with them.

 

8 sec stock chassis fox? show me... its IMPOSSIBLE... and i never said the f-body chassis was amazing cause its not, but its a HELL of A LOT better than a fox chassis. and the 350 is a better engine than a puny 302....
