Full Bolt-Ons

Ok I have a Question? I hear everybody using the terms full bolt ons and full mods. Will somebody clear up exactly what this means. Personally I think its a term somebody uses when they really know nothing about cars. There is never an end on things you can do to your car and im pretty sure that everything on a car is bolted on. When I tell somebody something about what my car has I actually name parts and the specs on them.

Re: Full Bolt-Ons

full bolt-ons generally means a motor has stock internal parts, eg. heads, cam, rotating assembly. But the car has modified eg. exhaust, air filter, chip, underdrive pulleys, free mods, the list goes on. These are the first things we complete before we start pulling motors.

maybe members feel silly listing all these parts and little mods they have done because there is a limit to what you would call bolt ons. it would just save time to say "full bolt-ons".

Now after you have all your bolt ons full mods would be the next step in modifications. eg. rear end, sub frame conectors, heads, cam, intake, crank, transmission. this list is endless...

I know what your saying, it is kind of a vague description to say full mods.

Re: Full Bolt-Ons

It also depends o what car scene your in. Bolt ons to some people means something else to others. I think of it as the small external stuff, TBs, MAF, cold air kits, exhaust, pulleys etc... Others consider heads a bolt on, and others consider anything more than a filter getting past bolt ons.
