so i donno where to post this, but i thought id share my sat event, so feel free to move to a more sutible place mods.

anyways, i got a carb slapped together, and fired up my car on e 85 this weekend. thought id take it for a little test drive. stopped by the dealership i work at, show the guys a lil burn out in the lot.

i drive down the road a little bit and they had the roundabout deals blocked off for some marathon run. this bike cop tells me to turn it off, so i shut it down and ask him whats the problem. he starts going off on me saying he can here me burnin around the place and writes me a bunch of tickets for
1. exsessive noise (granted im not arguing that my cars over the db limit)

2.exhibithon of acceleration "drag racing on highways", wtf!!!so im not gonna argue with this guy on the scene cause there is no point. but all he knows is he heard a loud car and wants to bust my *****. he didnt witnes crap, and i was on private property, and nowhere near a highway!

3.no seat belt (werent installed yet, just put a cage in the car, hadent put the belts in yet, so guilty).

then he stars saying my dot mickey thompsans e/t streets are illeagal but he will let that slide. yea thanks pal, id just fight that in court too.

anyways im just pissed that i finally got to drive the damn car and know all the cops are going to be gunnin for me again.

you can fight the exhibition of acceleration.. he said he heard you burning out but he did not witness it..

here's what i would say:
first you plead not guilty to the exhibition of acceleration.
guilty to the seat belt and noise violation.

"the statute of an exhibition of acceleration states that i must be in a competition of speed from one point to another with or without another car. did you (the officer) see me actually commit an exhibition of acceleration?"
"no"
"you said that you heard me burnout, but do you know for sure that it was indeed, me? did you see my tires spinning and squealing?"
"no"
"since you have no evidence other than hearing a loud car that very well could not have been my own, i request that the charges for exhibition of acceleration be dropped."

also, at least in my state, you can NOT be issued a ticket for a driving violation on private property, such as a parking lot, unless the manager or owner of the business signs the violation as a witness......I don't know about your state, but agree with comments above as well....if he didn't see you clearly, he cannot cite you....

hey cool link, i was looking for that. yea the seat belt and noise is obviously gonna stick. i just couldnt believe this guy gave me a ticket based on speculation and aligations.
