ok, so i was driving around in my 98 zx2 running errands. im on one of the more major local streets. when a horribly molested 91 firebird cuts me off. its got this huge r!cer wing, 22+ rims, and ram air hood. its blarring some gangster crap but the car sounds kinda weird. i believe it was a manuel as it sounded like he wasnt shift right. well we end up side by side at a light. he revs and revs and revs so i finally look over. he has those blacked out windows and horrible stickers all over the windows and what not. he turns his music down and says wanna see some real muscle and points at the road ahead, and continues reving. at this point i was like well i might as well see how bad i get beat. light turns green and we take off. i keep up with him in what i believe is his 1st gear, in my car once i get roling i shift to second. then i hear him hit the clutch i believe and hear this horrible metallic grind and smack/bang, his car nose dives and slides it died. then i hear him trying to shift after starting it back up but his car wouldnt move. i slowed greatly when i heard that sound and he was about 1 and a 1/2 car lengths ahead when this happened. im guessing he killed his tranny. though i dont view it a win cause really he would have killed me, i just felt so bad for that firebird and thought id post it.

to note i ran into this car on the street and listed all i could surmise from just riding next to the car. i have no idea whats under the hood or what the tranny is.

i personally want to get a 91 or 92 firebird and seeing this moron owning what i want really kinda erks me. oh well maybe ill find it in a junk yard in a week or two and demolest it

It's a win, maybe by default, but still a win, never won that way, but have lost that way! Clutch problems, shifter linkage, tranny??? Only he knows...LOL

maybe it broke cause it was embarrassed to look the way it did It wants a new owner !!!

which brings up the question everyone wants to know. can a car suicide? and does it have a soul?

EDIT: I figured it out.
22" rims meant that his speedo read 140 and he didn't want the car to tear itself apart.

I was gonna say maybe it committed suicide
