according to wikipedia that engine in 94 had 200hp and 275 torque. Also just under 2 tons. Smoke him.

there is a black kid locally that rides around in a 95 caddy(i think) and has quiet the big mouth also. it is also "pimped" out, my buddies 66 impala killed him and it was a joke, my buddy has a stock 350, edelbrock intake manifold, carb, and air filter, its got a 350 tranny and i mean my friend owned him(some pun intended)

Re: my 87 iroc vs. 94 caddilac sedan devill

Okay, because the concours model (which was still a sedan) was 270 hp in 94.
But again, the 800 lbs more or so will also be a factor.
Even if it is the concours you'd probably still take him w/ a conservative estimate of 225hp on your part.
(I used 0-60 calculator which is purely hypothetical and won't give accurate 0-60s, but will give a decent way of comparing weight:hp ratios, and whether the extra horses make up for it).
EDIT: oops, jk you said the 4.9 didn't even notice concours was 4.6. Ironic that the smaller motor makes more hp.
You'll dominate him.

I really doubt if you'll win, you could but it'd be close, gearing, state of tune, and driver ability will come into play. If you can hookup you;ll have a better chance. Hope you can prove me wrong!Good luck...

i plan on it, ive completly rebuilt my 305 so its got just over 100 miles on it sense i went thru and did all new gaskets, then the pump went out but she's good to rock and roll, so ill let you guys know tomorrow, and its not a concours...but that is pretty ironic thanx for your input, ill take a pic out my rear hatch for ya tomorrow

Wow, didn't know you could post stuff like this...

I believe the 4.6 was the Northstar motor (not sure if they were around in 94 or not, but I want to say they were) and the 4.9 was the older model V8.

Re: my 87 iroc vs. 94 caddilac sedan devill

well...i lined up next to him in town, he wasn't expecting me to be intown and leave at the same time he did...we have a strech of road that merges from 2 lanes to 1 on my side of the highway and theres about 100 feet of road on the right side before it merges, i lined up next to him on the right, i said on green we go, and i hit the gas hard enuff to where i didn't have alot of wheelspin*i did have a little, but i do know i need tires* and he had me up til about 50 ft. before we merge and i laid it down, by the time i was going 80 i had id say the full lengths on him....and then i get home, he lives about a half mile from me, he says that i cheated cuz i knew he would let me over, so i asked him if he wanted to go again and he said no...i hope that shuts him up for a while, thanx again for your info and help guys!

So you raced 50 feet then the road merged into one lane?

Thats what I hate about street racing, It's allways so damn lame

The 4.6 in the newer cars is sweet, when you take out of the 4000lb wrapper

Re: my 87 iroc vs. 94 caddilac sedan devill

it did but i was in front of him, and there was plenty of room to pass if he wanted to, or could... and i agree with u on that 4.6L and yes it was lame, and he does have an exscuse, but i know he didn't have a chance
and J91 thanx and i do believe you are right, no reason for getting beat twice

I know some guys in Cali, that run those 4.6's in their Sand Rails, very fast and very fun stuff. It is a hell of an engine!!!!
