91 RS vs B16 CRX

so im gonna run this guys rex,hes wanting dig-40 roll- and 60 roll.....my car is pretty stock with the open 2.73...i mean this is all for fun,i dont care if i lose.

my maro runs mid-high 15,but seems to pull harder on the highway....so i think i stand a better chance from 60.

but if this goes down next week, ill have a LSD 3.23 rearend in my car, which should help.

what u guys think,do i stand a chance?

Sorry man, but he has you beat unless his car runs like crap. My friend has a B16 CRX. When my car was mostly stock(91 Z28, LB9, 5 speed) we ran dead even. Even hit the same times at the track, 14.5 in the quarter mile.

yea a taller gear ratio will help you get to speed quicker so it can shave a tad bit off.....have you done the open air element? or do you still have the snorkel?

Some people say a drop base flows better, due to the shape of the base, but I'm sure it doesn't flow too much worse, if it does. I don't really know, I never looked into it.
