My brother and I will be heading to the track this weekend and just figured I would put this up to see what everyone thinks will happen.

89 formula, 3150 race weight, iron headed lt1 2.02 1.60 valves ported and polish, 502 cam, GMPP carbed lt1 intake, 2'', spacer holley 700cfm mechanical secondary double pumper,t5,3.73 posi, on 245 50R16 street tires

VS

95 formula, 3500 race weight, cold air, 52mm tb, pasesetter mids dumped at axle, 1.6rr, 700r4, 2700 stall, shift kit, 3.42 posi, on 255 60 15 mt et streets

My borther has been running his mouth for about a year now and I think it is time to put him in his place, what do you think 89 or 95?

Tell him to enjoy your tail lights if you get traction. If not, I think your are done for.

You are making more power but I think he'll get you. He'll be so far out coming out of the hole with the converter and tires, you won't be able to catch up.

Re: 89 formula vs 95 formula
The last time my car was on the track I only got 2 runs in on my old set up witch was a 327 with less power then my current engine and a open rear with the steels showing on the tires I ran a 16.1@108 spun most the way down the track and a 14.7@104 the car has even more power (not a good thing) a good set of tires and a posi and I know I still will not hook

The last time he was out there he ran a 14.7@98 before the drag radials, tb and rockers.

I know he will get me off the line but I hope to blow by him at the top end. we will have the time slips up after the race
