i got to say it realy suprised me i figured ahh luxury its going to be way to heavy to keep up i did some research i guess they put out a little over 400hp stock wich i no i dont put out that much im hanging around 270 to 320 im realy not sure theres no dyno around here i think if we were at a 45 to 50s roll i would have taken him but doing 60 not being able to down shift to 2nd is what killed me

Re: what in the hell ???

i have a 2004 silverado SS with the lq9, and its a pretty quick truck, nothing like a viper truck, or lightning, but still pretty quick.

I think they run 15's? maybe better in the quarter.

My car would eat it alive though

Re: what in the hell ???

You would be surprised as to what those tanks will do! People told me when i took my 03 yukon xl (suburban) to the track to run the 1/8th that id run around a 13 hell i ran a 10.5 at 68mph! Althpough not a speed deamon but for weighing 6000lbs and having a 5.3 with just an intake it did great. Hopefully ill break into high 9s with it now that it has a tune exhaust vette servo and shift kit. Never underestimate something with a ls style motor.

Re: what in the hell ???

At 2500 rpms I would expect you should be well within the beginning of your powerband, and I don't see how you wouldn't have a solid pull. Even then a downshift to second shouldn't put you above 4000, that should save at the very least a grand for acceleration.

The only SUV I've run against was an '06 Expedition a buddy of mine bought, purely stock with a 5.4L, and it was only because he wouldn't shut up about how fast it was. So one night I had him put a little cash where his mouth was. As it turned out he wound up paying for my wasted gas and then some.

second gear tops me out at 5grand thats why i say a 40 to 50mph roll 2500 is the starting of my powerband but with the new trannys these things have they can shift right into the middle of the band 6spd auto compared to a 3spd auto
