What if...

i wasnt sure where to post this. what if i wanted to use a strait 6 in my car? inline motors have never done me wrong in the past is it plausible to throw an i6 in a camaro? would it fit so long as the engine mounts and all that jazz was fixed for it? and if it was thrown in there do you all think it would a perfomence boost or a drag? with proper ecu or w/e and tranny of course....oh, and ive got a 305....can i use a turbo 350 tranny? >.> lol kinda rndom but saves me from starting another post lol

Re: What if...

well thats massively generalized but yes sure an inline 6 would work, tons of mock up......... custom trans mount and motor mounts, lots of work for less power but yah it can be done why not.

Re: What if...

Anything is possible with enough $$$ and customizing...but the question that begs to be answered is WHY?

That's just as bad as throwing in an Iron Duke.

O.o idk why ppl dont give respect where its due, i had a 280zx turbo and it hauled ***. and it sipped gas compared to the clunky 305 :/

Re: What if...

im not exaclty sure but shouldnt the 280zx be like, 1000 lbs lighter than these cars?

i just checked, average is around 2900, unless you plan on having no interior, sound deadening or anthing, your not getting that low. our cars come in at around 4000.
long story short, power to weight will destroy any performance of a v6, though it would probably be really reliable and more fuel efficient than a 305.

Totally different car, motor etc. Why do I get the feeling you want to throw a foreign I-6 in after you've referenced a 240sx....
