im currently in a scrambble to get my twin turbo iroc preped and ready to go, one of my friends lives in ely nv and will be towing my car out for the event for me.

would be awsome to ave some more 3rdgens in the event

i should add im also looking for a navigator/co pilot, the only one friend i trust enough,an his wife wont let him do it being as they just had a kid together and i dont blame her one bit

Hoping that I'll have my 85 TA together for next year ( & crossing my fingers that my work picks up so I don't have to sell my a** .... to finance it & the trip ).

 

im not going this year , im going drag racing on sept 19/20th instead much closer to home then the silver state

 

Ahhh man.... that's cool. Was really looking forward to see how you did ( that is one of my bigger goals for my ride'), & get feedback as what to expect, (fees ,fuel & tire cost, how much to live on their economy, as well as road/track condition , cornering complications , etc. ..).
I have a long way to go, so hopefully I can get with someone (that does/has competed in the Silver State, with a thirdgen ).

next year ill go , i just didnt have the budget for it this year , the more i thought about it the more i needed to do the car i.e different wheels and tires + brakes and some other things , coupled with the fuel bill and all that it was just to much in such a short period of time

 

I heard that! I'm hoping to get my car in the chassis shop before Xmas. .. that way I can get it back & hopefully together ( with time to sort out the rest, i.e. setup suspension, wiring, rims & tires, etc...). And, if I don't make it next year. ... I'll shoot for the following

 

It's a bucket list item for me, building a Super Duty motor for my 73 Trans Am right now.
