Axle/Gears: 3.42 eaton
1973 Trans Am vs 1990 Trans Am

ok guys who do you think will win this one: 1973 T/A(my dads), auto with 400 and a mild competition cam and a shift kit and 3.08 posi vs 1990 T/A 305 tpi auto cold air intake flow master exhaust and emmissions delete, 2.73 posi?

Sounds like a close race, because those 400's were nothing to brag about in stock form. If he has a small cam though and slightly higher gears, my bets on your dad. I don't think he'll get you by much, but I do think he'll win.

i still havnt had a chance to race him yet. he wont get it out of the garage i may not get a chance to race him with this setup because he just bought a set of 1970 high compression heads that on a stock 400 in 1970 made it have 330hp. and he already has a cam. i dont think i even have a chance now
