9 seconds 0 to 60. I think my bone stock 99 olds 88 with a 3.8L is that fast.

Re: My 0-60

Haha yeah yeah yeah I know. Still working the new carb kinks out. That transmission is really screwing me over.

Not sure if you read the youtube description but here it is here:

My transmission is shot and I'm not running with the TV cable. Yes I know that is bad. I am switching to a 5 speed soon just gotta install it. Also No torrque converter lock up as well.

350 Crate Motor
Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake
MSD Street fire dizzy
American thunder 3" Catback exhaust.

I have but needs to be installed:
Hedman long tubes (Will be true dual exhaust with dumps)
T-5 swap

Re: My 0-60

Yeah that trans must be killing you. I have a video on my youtube of my 350 GTA doing spirited 0-60 and I still did it in 7.5 secs not even 3/4 throttle. throw a TPI on it, and get that 5 speed in...

Also keep in mind I have the stock 3.08 gears in there too. GTA's have 3.23 if I'm not mistaken.

Re: My 0-60

Ouch! I think my old TBI/L98 did that (TBI 350 w/TPI on top). I was young and stupid, and instead of buying a used L98 long block, I bought a reman that came wit the wrong heads/cam. Never did run right.

And when I fixed it.

Then, I fixed it some more.

Re: My 0-60

Oh dear god, please get that 5sp in... then you can start working on horsepower. Unless you want to eventually want a fast car then find a 4l80e and get the stall and parts around. There was one locally for 300$ i should have bought/ built it for when my 4l60e asplodes.

I agree. I picked up a T56 out of a cash for clunkers car for $216. $190 rebuild it, and about $250 in labor and I've got a rebuilt T56.

Can't wait to put it in along with heads and cam. I might have something respectable then. mid 13's just isn't fast around here. Heck, i'm only SLIGHTLY faster than the new 2011 V6 Mustangs.

Manual is just plain more fun all around.

Re: My 0-60

WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET A T56 FOR 216$???? holy ****! usually the mexicans have them ripped out of any cars that roll in around here in .2 seconds before they evne get off the roll off.

Right place, right time. Cash 4 Clunkers means they cannot be stripped before they get to the junkyards. So the junkyard took in a 93 Z28 (G92 trans too) as part of the Cash for Clunkers program. I almost missed it, I was looking for a PCM bracket for my LT1 swap when I noticed that it didn't have the detent cable that all 93 F-body auto's had. So I looked in the interior and low and behold its an M6 car.

Since the yard only took cash, I promptly left for the gas station, got more cash, and paid $175 for the trans, $25 for them to remove it, and $16 tax.

its also a G92 93 transmission, so its got the most desirable ratios they say. Personally, i'd prefer a taller 1st gear.
2.97 2.07 1.43 1.00 0.80 0.62 (G92)

Haha I love to slam gears. Plus this is the third 700R4 I have gone through. The last one was "rebuilt".

Also I plan on putting in an LS1/T-56 swap for my graduation present. It was that or my parents were gonna buy me an old fuel efficient car.

well damn if its taking you this long to get that t5 swap done then i hate to see how long that LS1 swap is gonna take LOL.

I suggest finding a 4th gen donor like i did, makes it alot easier.
