What should my quarter mile time be?
Okay so i have an 85 T/A with the 305 H.O. 4bbl. It has an edelbrock air cleaner and intake manifold, the catalytic converters are taken off and I have a Flowpro muffler on it. What do you think I would be able to run a quarter mile in? Also what else could I do to beef it up without swapping the engine out, I wanna keep the 305 in it.

Re: What should my quarter mile time be?
Its not that simple... well not entirely. It depends on HP, vehicle weight and altitude for the most part. You can do a search for "1/4 mile estimation" on google or yahoo and it will bring up some good websites to punch in some numbers and get a pretty good estimate. Start by learning exactly what your car specs out to. Go to the main page and look up the specs on the 1985 Trans Ams and also get the vehicles weight. Then punch in all the info that the estimation websites require and that should tell you. Play around with the numbers too! try to see what your car would do if you dropped the weight by a couple hundred pounds or increased the HP by a few! Good luck!
