Re: Gran Turismo 5

I was messing around earlier with the game and I still can't believe some of the choices of cars they used. 15 different models of one car that sucks? Really? No trans am, but a Solstice? No second gen Camaro. And my main gripe is, I bought the IROC concept and I'm looking for another one (for about a month now) and I have yet to see another one is the used car section. WTF? But don't you know I can buy some stupid a$$ Jap cars all day long if I was into going slow. Twin Turbo is also right about the physics of the game. You have to run the anti spin out option just for the game to be any fun. Bigger disappointment that anything I can imagine. If it weren't for the fact that I'm a broke college student I would have bought an X Box and Forza 3 long ago.

Re: Gran Turismo 5

yepp i agree with everything said, deeply deeply dissapointed in gt5, it has so many of the miata, 300gt, skyline, rx-7, civic, nsx, and countless other little japanese eco boxes noone would ever want to be seen driving, let alone race, and i can think of so many thirdgens both prototype and production that would go inplace of the countless "slightly higher power than in previous years" japanese cars that are uneccesary such as follows

1992 SLP Firehawk
1989 TTA
82 indy pace car camaro
84 berlinetta
idk the year but the bandit II
the gta any year will do
a z-28 other than the 69, which there are two of (rolls eyes)
an rs in the beautiful teal color
the concept is cool cuz its different but some concepts that would kick its *** are
the turbo iroc-z concept, google it
the never released b4c camaro the white heritage with the black stripes and i think the ls1 if i remember right
the "last" z-28(not a concept)
i'd love to see the iroc, and the trans am
the formula, again any year would be great
well idk about you guys (actually i do i read the whole thread) but i'd take that over any of the 1,xxx cars i own in the game that are complete **** almost entirely

Re: Gran Turismo 5

I have both Forza and GT5, and Forza is far better, I was very dissapointed in GT5...its got a Prius...in a racing game, and no second or third gens. Worse yet is the Prius is a premium car somehow...unfortunately my xbox just red ringed for the 3rd time and I don't have cash to go buy one of the new generation of xboxs...so now I'm stuck with GT5 and I can't drive my IROC in Forza 3.

Re: Gran Turismo 5

My xbox got stolen out of my apartment earlier this year... I lost a lot of things I wish I still had and the xbox isnt that big of a deal.... but I DO miss taking my hopped up IROC around the Nurburgring and Fujimi Kaido a LOT. Even if I were to forgive GT5 for all the flaws mentioned, the AI still does it's routine ON RAILS. In Forza 3 they avoid hitting you. The AI is excellent in that regard. If you can get side by side with someone going into a corner and get the right of way for the apex, the cars in Forza 3 will actually give you space.
