Full exhaust on the lt1? Cai? Lt1 handle bolt ons very well way better than a l98 let alone a lb9. In my eyes your mods are a waste if its untuned. Only thing good is the 3.42 gears. The rest to me seems like a waste of $.
I say no chance.

Your friends LT1 fbody should go mid - low 13s with his mods, and thats with the crappy 2.73s
Sorry man, you have no chance

Re: 1990 T/A vs 1994 T/A lt1
Considering that I own a 1990 IROC with the L98 with mods and I sold my 1995 TA vert with 6-speed and 3.42 gears (all stock) to fund the restoration and build of my IROC. My TA would kill my IROC in a light to light or top end. You don't have a chance and you would get embarrassed.

This race is basically a stock LT1 with a posi vs a stock 305 with a posi. You have no chance.

You have no chance. But that trans am isnt a mid 13 car either. its a mid 14 car at best. I drove automatic lt1's and they dont feel very fast at all. You'd still lose but it isnt as fast as people say it is. Especially with 2.73's

The LT1 should be knocking on 13s, in good air. A stall, or gears for that thing will make a big difference at this point. I think that the LB9 is just missing to much to really compete with it.

13.35 @ 103mph.
The LT1 will ROCK his world. I I'm betting on at least a 1 second difference in ET and at least a 5mph differential in trap speeds.

I see. But he also has 2.73's so he is going to be at least a half second slower than your time.

Re: 1990 T/A vs 1994 T/A lt1
We are talking about an LB9 with little to no performance mods against a full bolt-on LT1. The LB9 with 3.42's yeah, thats good. But LT1s are notorious for gaining crap loads of power with full exhausts and CAIs.
My car actually traps a few MPH slower than most of the other LT1 swaps here due to its tiny B-body cam and shorty headers vs LTs, with an F or Y body LT1 cam it would be 105 or so.
I ran a full exhaust LS1, he trapped a 12.9x @ 108mph with 2.73s. My 3.27's didn't seem to help me that much against him.

Where are you people getting "full bolt on" from? He said he has full exhaust. Either way the 305 is gonna get slapped around like an annoying wife after a Philadelphia Eagles loss.

Yeah that is what I was saying...maybe by full exhaust they say its headers too? That is kind of my deffinition.
