ok i hate it when i drive my camaro and NOBODY is out or have any thing worth racing thats modded or its some girl or old man driving and the pedal has never seen the metal, and when im a passenger in a friends car or driving the suv i always see some mustang or srt8 driving recklessly or something trying to look fast by sounding fast go by all i can say is if only i had the maro out does this happen to any of you all

wouldnt even post this because i kno the 3000gt n/a are dogs i picked my friend up to go downtown to the bar t tops are off and just cruisin when i look back and this cars ridin my *** then gets next to me in the fast lane we hit a light and i tell my boy are you ready he said hell yea haha plus its been a while since my last light to light hence the above post, i look at him and he looks at me revs and moves up to the box i revd alil and got even and watched the opposite light. green we both take off neck and neck my traction was horrible couldnt hook so whole time my rear is partly sideways trying to hook but im still walking him real bad finally i catch near the end of second and let off mid third cuz of the next light turned red he rolls by and says ok ok ok wut u got in it, when a truck that was following rolls up on the other side and yelled dont hurt that boys feeling to bad hahah light turns green and 3000 gt zooms off 1-0 for the night

later on tht night driving home a 2004 impala ss was weaving in and out of cars he passes me doin about 50 in a 30 there was a safe speed trap ahead he never slowed down and a big flash captured his plates he never slowed down(must have been a outta towner) so after i pass it i speed up to get to him now normally i dont put my or any bodys life in danger but we had to merge and and he merged ok but i was about 1 and a hlaf bus lengths behind and the light turned green for the lane i had to merge in cars were coming i sorta pulled some tokyo drift **** (not really) and gunned it he realized what was going on and he tried to escape but i reeled in him and passed i never let off because it was a long straight away and a light at the end was about to turn yellow i made it and let off and he ran the red light and blew past me and turns off ( not only did he lose but gotta pay for it to those stupid safe speed programs there cash cows about 60-120 fine they got me when they first put them up
2-0 in 1 great night until my tire blew out in front of my neighbor hood FML i needed new tires anyway just never had time to take it in i was literally rolling on the rim to my house

yea they were getting kinda bad. i needed an alignment and i didnt think it would wear them out that fast, but you are right better safe than sorry,,never again lol but dont count out the 3000 gt its a hot car turbo or non
and thanks i knew the rims were centerline but i never knew the type i guess they really were champs if it took a beating like that on the pavement

 

Yeah that tire looks like it was done 300+ miles ago. It could of been worse, glad to hear it wasn't. Good kills though, but like havoc said keep it smart and don't skimp on the tires.

To answer your question...yes that always happens to me! I'll be driving my Camaro around for an hour looking for something mildly fast and then I will give up and go home to get my Intrepid to go to work or do some errands and I will see Mustangs and other third gens.

Funny story though, the other night I was out in the Camaro driving down a main road when I hit a light. I'm sitting there all by myself when I see this other car start to roll up next to me (couldn't see what it was because of crappy window tint). I think finally a chance to race somebody, but I decide against it because I couldnt see the car because they stopped in my blind spot. Light turns green. Dodge Charger Sheriffs police car takes off at a slow pace. I almost crap my pants. I then roll up next to him again at another set of lights. I'm sitting there trying to act like a good driver when the light turns green and he just about floors it. Of course I let him win.

Later that same night I'm sitting in the turning lane when some hick in a wierd suzuki leans out his window and mutters something to my friend. I say what did he say? He tells me "He said, oh that's not the one I stole!".

All in all a pretty wierd night.

Since I've moved I mostly see V6 challengers, worn out 5.0s, and an abundance of civics. Have a track ~20 minutes from me so I'm not tempted.

My excuse is I'm 17 and haven't savored my need for speed. However I do not drive around like a moron all the time. When I drive I throw it in overdrive and do very mild acceleration, however when the time comes I knock it down a gear and let my car scream!

No, I meant that I take it out of overdrive and just put it in drive.

 

its not that we drive around looking to street race thats what the track is for just saying if im going from point a to point b its nice to get put back in the seat every now and then and make the other guy who thinks his car is fast think twice.

 

Man I drive my car all the time in the summer and I never get anybody try to race me. Only happened twice ever. I get more people going after me in my toyota than my TA.

Now my two VFRs for some reason the Harley guys always wanna run me.

 

When I am driving my Mazda 3 I see at least 3-4 Mustangs per half hour on the highway... All driving like morons. Of course, when I am in the Maro, I see NONE except maybe a few girls in V6 stangs.

 

Nope. I am 43 and can out drive most, but I promised my Son I wouldnt race again. I was young and dumb when I was 18 in a TA going 100+ every weekend... coulda killed myself. Had a lot of too close calls where my driving saved my A**. I want to be around for my Son and set a good example for him. when you are a teen you think you are not stopable... I thought I wasnt.
I just run it up to the speed limit some times. fun enuf.

The other day I was running from 0-60 and when I was done I looked in my mirror and there was a new camaro ss black with black stripe on my tail when I let off.... I waved him on.

 

I see people driving like morons every day but I dont think they do it on purpose . Seriously the first 2 weeks of snow here it is like everybody forgot it snows in rochester.
