my '89 vs. his '94
ok.. there is a long standing rivalry between me and my friend. When i fist got my car, he had a '90 formula w/ a 305 TBI (toilet bowl injection) i would walk all over him all the time. Well he got tired of his slow *** car pretty fast so he got a '94 formula w/ the LT-1 and i couldnt beat him anymore!! i could still keep up but i could never beat him. any ways i got some new goodies for him! my mods r in my sig.. do u uys think i will beat him now? only things done to his car is a flowmaster 80 series, an air foil and a K&N. (he also has the factory performace gear option) i am also thinking of adding some SLP 1-3/4" headers to my car this summer. he's going down one way or another!

It will probably be pretty close. A friend of mine has a 94 Z-28 automatic that used to be some type of police vehicle(I don't believe it was a patrol car). He has a flowmaster, removed cat, and a cold-air kit and can pull his car and another half a car or so on my Formula all motor. Our cars are similar in mods except runners and headers. Then again, I have never seen a 4th gen with this little done to it run this good. I'm beginning to wonder if those cops messed around under the hood. I used to be able to pull my front end ahead of him and then he would pull on my at 100+ before he got the cold-air kit and had the cat cut off. Now he stays right with me and then starts pulling at 40 or 50.
Then again, another guy I know has a 95 Z-28 6-speed with a flowmaster and K&N. He can pull me off the line and then I can pull on him no problem.
