will i win?

ok heres the race...me and my friend(firbirdgta on here) are going to race at the local 1/8 mile as soon as we find time. i have a 91 rs L03 with a 14x3 OE, no thermostat, and no muffler. He has a base model firebird L03 with a 14x3 OE, stock thermo(as far as i know), a gutted cat leading to a stock muffler, and accel wires. whos gonna win? oh yeah were both autos......am i gonna hae to lose some weight to edge him out? only difference body wise is he has t-tops and all power options....all i have is PS and PB....

Well assuming there is about the same wear on the engines it will be all down to driver experience and maybe best tire tread. You basically both have the same amount of power. Your cars are almost identical, its all up to who can ract faster basically.

No thermostat? You're crazy, good luck but get your cooling problems fixed and run a 180 thermo, car will be more reliable.

How do you have more experience you don’t even have a license yet? Have you ever even pushed you car to the limit, have you ever even went to a parking lot and see exactly how much your car can take around corners and how much it takes to instill you know how much it takes to spin the tires to where you accelerate you don’t just sit there and peel. How many hours have you spent in your car driving anyways I haven’t even seen it leave the driveway. I drive my car every day and right now I am tiring to blow my lo3 because I have a crate engine coming in right now and I know my car pretty good. I know that I am not best or even close to the best or have as much experience compared to most of the people here but I am tiring. please be not offended budman but i do know you do have the advantage in the wider tires by less than a inch. I guess we will just have to see better hurry up my engine is comming in the mail now.
