V6 Mustangs and 24v Probe vs 88 305 TBI
V6 Mustangs and 24v Probe vs 88 305 TBI
I want to know if I can take 80s v6 mustangs and newer v6s (90s to present day)mustangs with no mods. I'd be racing with a 1988 SC 305 TBI flowmaster exhaust K&N filter (coming soon dual snorkel). Also can I take a probe GT 24v with no mods ?
Correct me if I am wrong but there were no V6 Stangs in teh 80's, only 4's and 8's. The 4's you can take, the 5.0 Stangs - no.
About newer V6 Stangs, I raced a manual 99 one and I beat him pretty bad in my 305 TPI auto (although he started catching up in the end), but he might be able to take you casue they come with 190HP stock I think. If you race a 94 or so, you might beat him though.
About the Probe, they are pretty slow cars, the GT does low to mid 16's (If I remeber right), you LO3 prolly does low 16's so that should be a good race, but you will prolly take him.
Hope that helps

V6 stangs are no problem niether are **** probes. I just tonight raced a 99 v6 mustang at the track and wasted his butt bad even in a car that I never drove before "my friends car". You should have no problems taking either one."unless NOS"
