The proverbial question: Who would win? (Honda vs.Pontiac)
I have a friend who says that his friend's '92 Honda Prelude with the 2.3 would take out my '84 L69 T/A. The three of us were thinking about going to the track to run/race our cars, and so I can tune up some. I've taken out many an older Prelude with the 2.0, but he says the 2.3 is a whole different beast.
I dunno, what should I expect?

there is a prelude around here that runs 15.4 and it isnt too modded, its middle 90's. might be embarrassing to get your *** handed to you by a prelude. is it modded at all? some of those hondas get goin, there is a miata that is turbo'd at the track out here that runs 13.4's. 13.4 on a honda lol, what has the world come to?

Only mods i'm aware of on his car is a cold air kit, and he recently had the head rebuilt 'cause he didn't change his timing belt at the 60K interval (dummy). Not sure if he had any port/polish stuff done, not sure if it would make much of a difference.
The one and only time I ever ran my car, I got mid 14's with the 'ol L69. I've got a modded air intake & K&N, tranny's rebuilt with a shift kit & all the trick stuff, 53K volt ignition, 3.42's out back, 3" catback, a very carefully tuned Q-Jet and the usual free mods. I'm suspicious that one of my car's previous owners may have put a bigger cam in the L69, but i've got no reason to pull the manifold just yet to find out.
