'87 IROC vs. Civic EX?
alright, now I know this doesn't sound like much, but this guy wants to race me (and I just got the car!) Anyways, my friend, in his Camaro RS, raced a '90 Integra (he thot he would win) and obviously killed the Acura. My friend told the guy to race me in my IROC, jokingly, and the guy with the Acura said he had a friend with a "****vick" EX that was real fast. I found out that the EX has intake, exhaust, UD pulley and maybe some new plug wires
Anyway, how bad will I get this guy? I have cat-back and removed A/C. (Pretty close to stock). I'm pretty sure I can win :-). As a side note, the EX said he has taken 350 Trans Ams (yea, right).
Thanks in advance!
(I think I'll put down 50 on this and get that TB airfoil :-))

is that guy sure the trans am was racinghim? you should kill the civic if you have the tpi set up because your engine combo is a good one already. i have seen many civic ex's in th elow 14's though alot of the rice boys drop a b16 engine in the hondas and think they are tough stuff. so dont under estimate rice anymore you might get embarassed... happened to me once and that was enough.
Shawn
you should win by at least 2 cars.

Just as a side note to ricers. My house could do the 1/4 in 14 sec. if I dumped enough money into it. My point? Let me dump the same amount of money into my GTA that these ricers dump into there cars and Ill be running the quarter in the low 3's. These guys make me sick. Sure a civic can beat an IROC. It should if buddy dumped $8000 into it. Anyway I would think you would smoke an EX

You'll win. Let us know how it goes. Plus Nissan SR20 motors suck! Yes, there are fast Jap cars out there, but it costs thousands to get them there.
