Theres a whole lot of L-S1 powered 4th Gens running around in my city that think they're Billy Badass with the car their dad bought for them. Most are unmodded or just an exhaust etc. I have an 84 Trans Am with a 9:1 385, Camel Hump heads, Comp Cams XE 262, stock L-69 intake and carburetor, Hedman full length hedders, straight pipes with Dynomax turbo mufflers, 700-R4 with stock converter. Can I hang with em or should I pop for that PowerShot kit I've had my eye on?

From experiance I blow the doors off of them at the track with a HO 350. You should be able to blow them away also just with what you have. Although I dont use or endorse N20
it would really help alot.

As long as they're only racing on motor you should be able to take them. Suspension is what wins street races. If you can hook and blast him off the line, he'll probably never catch you. If they lie I've seen late models with enough NOS to blow up everyone in the parking lot. Most aren't running 250HP shots, but there are plenty who are.
