Well, I was going to pick up my friend Nick so he could see his g/f (he has no car, neither does she) and I see this green 4th Gen Z28 cruising. I was like whoa, maybe he'll race, so I pull up next to him in 2nd gear and I hear him pop it into D as well as his exhaust note. I'm like okay, I've always said I could beat one of these guys, lets see if I can. We both had 1 passenger and I'm in 2nd riding at abou 4000rpms and going about 30mph. He takes off a tad before me, I heard his auto spool up first and I nailed it hard. He gained about a 1/4 car on me but 3rd came along with my ram air and I went buh bye. I took a modest 1 car lead ahead of him. So I see a street light ahead of me and get over to the side because after I won he went behind me. So I pull over and say okay, a nice 2.166 60ft is not gonna help me so try and smooth it out. Light goes green...what do I do? He got a tad quicker reaction and jumped a car length ahead, I got anxious and floored it. I'm so dumb, I went sideways, rode the clutch, barked 2nd and started creeping. When I hit 3rd (I'm telling you this ram air is great) I just creeped among a bumper of a car length and we were doing about 75mph and he stopped. He had a catback, I'm sure not headers, it would be all game over if he had headers. But I got him both times, now I just have to wait for my Z rated tires for a nice 2.0 60ft to hit 14.2 and then hopefully my pullies and afpr will take me 14.1 @ 97mph. I was jumping up and down after this, the girl I was driving with thought I was nuts. I was like "OMG, I beat him! I beat a 4th Gen Z28!!!! OMG OMG OMG, he has a 350!!" She just was like o_@ all dumbfounded like wtf are you talking about? Hehe, anyway good race.

Good Kill!!! I must be the only fbody person in the country that has had his current car for almost a year and hasn't had one street race! The closest I got was a new 'stang that pulled next to me and the driver gunned it a little, so I was going to play with him and we got caught at a light. Then his passenger looked at my car and noticed the NHRA badge on the fender, said something to the driver, light turned green, I nailed it and he idled off the light and stayed far in back of me 'till the next block and he turned off. I wanted to tell him that the emblems were worth 5 tenths alone since that's probably why he didn't run
