There is a boy round here with a Cadilac(sp?) STS... he's talkin real big.. and i was just wonderin what they got in em and some stats.... they look kinda mean... but i just don't see a caddy doin much... without some work anyway...
My friend has an 88 caddy and it's pretty quick, probably would be some RS's. Now the STS does that have the 32 valve Northstar, those are some bad engines. I'm sure that car would at least do low 15's. You have to watch out for them "old people cars" they'll get up and move.

Watch out man, the Northstar Caddy's are something to be feared! But the 4.9 DFI car's aren't all that fast. I drove the Caddy Seville STS Northstar 4.6, and it felt better than any other car I've ever driven. Not the fastest, but undeniably fast for a Cadillac!

yea i have seen it do 14.7 , that was with a good driver and all but still , thats really impressive , im sure they range from high 14s to low 15s , the car i saw run was a 2 dr sts ??? i think memory is a little cloudy

They are fast and the eldorado (2 door) is even faster. Road and track has tested them 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. Even the lower end models have 275 horse and are quick. My grandpa had a 99 seville sls with 275 horse and it smoked. It was fast. Did 130 mph like it was its job.

You have to be careful in cars like that, they ride so smooth at high speeds you don't even know it.

Fu(k northstars, it bearly outran my stock 3.8 from 60 mph. They are low 14 or high 15 seconnd car at best. No problem for a car with any ***** whatsoever.
PS- It outran me on the highway; so any v6 or 305 guys, good luck. If you have a 350, you will leave them looking at tail lights. Hahahaha.

Keep in mind this is very good for a car that is 4000 lbs plus!!! I'm telling you, there is no way a Caddy is going to see a 350s taillights. Especially when that car has 55 more horsepower. The car is slow accelerating, but it's not geared for acceleration, nor does it have as much torque as a 350 F-body. But once you get up in the RPMs, watch out, you will see one quick Grandpa-mobile fly by you. They ride as light and softly as clouds at high speeds. Nevermind the fact that the 350 has TPI.

Oh yeah, put one of those *crappy* Northstars in a Fiero, and prepare to die....I mean beat anything at the strip....well except for those darn TTAs and GNs!!

I drove (and love) a 98 deville back in 98 and it was great fun. Traction control on and just floor it. It went like stink for a massive car.
The engines were putting out 275bhp and 275lb/ft or 300bhp/300lb/ft depending on which set-up you got.
Also, these things are near indestructable with their shutting cylinders down and refusing to die without water while driving through death valley.

I am a Service Advisor at a Cadillac, GMC Truck, Pontiac dealership. I drive Cadillacs everyday. I have driven plenty of 300HP STS& ETC cars at WOT.
