iroc vs. s2000
the s2000 has 151 lb ft or torque, i doubt it has a traction problem, and it runs a 14 second flat 1/4 mile...it is a stick tho, and the two jerk offs that want to race dunno how to drive a stick for ****....
my cats are shot, and they dont want to wait for me to get my full exhaust on, b/c they're afraid, lol, i have bald tires too...
i'm not banking on winning tho, but what are the odds if these guys reallllly suck at driving stick
-mikey'roc
how bout after i get BFG drag radials, and edelbrock tes headers, 2 cat co hi flow cats, and a flowmaster 40 series???
------------------
1989 Iroc 305 5spd
mods: airfoil, MAF screens, flowmaster 80's, 3.45 posi, K&N's, few other things
This weekend: 2 new hi-flow cats & hooker cat-back
Other:
Tints, Eclipse CD8051 HU, Nakamichi pa504 (50x4 watts), Polk 4x6's, Polk 6x9's, Xtant 1001x amp (1000 watts), 2 xtant X-series 12 inch subs= people know i'm comin' a block away

a friend of mine ran a 14.6 with basically a bone stock 305..
if you can hook up real good, then I think that you'll take him with the headers/exhaust/tires.
I'm sure that they'll blow the launch, because I heard that you have to rev those S2000's to 8000/9000rpm to launch it because of the low torque. Besides, how accurate are magazines? and remember that they were using test drivers to clock the S2000..

S2000 need a good driver to get off the line well. I raced one and absolutly destroyed it off the line with my car. But later on when we ran from a 60MPH+ roll, the little bugger was right with me (dead even race from a roll)

If he knows how to drive, he can eat you alive...his 0-60 is 5.5, your's is high 6's bone-stock in mint shape.
But if he can't, then well, you've got one hell of an upset If he doesn't pop the clutch at over 4 grand, you got him. I think it was Motor Trend who tried a 2000 RPM clutch drop and the damn thing did 0-60 in like high 8s or something!!

Car: '10 Subaru Forester
Engine: 2.5 Boxer
Transmission: 4EAT
Axle/Gears: 4.44
The 0-60 Claimed is 5.2 seconds and I believe 13.8 in the 1/4. 240 Hp and some weak *** torque number I don't know... Not something to be taken lightly. I'd say the driver will need to suck at driving stick to lose.

its gonna depend how well he can drive a stick, ESPECIALLY with that car, those things have NO low end, and u have to rev the **** out of it to get to its powerband, you really have to know how to drive that car, buy the sounds of it he doesn't.
The key in this race is to kill him off the line, because the S2000 will rape you top end..good luck!

If you went out and spent a hunk of change on a honda S2000, would you drop the clutch at 8,000rpm? Now, if you were testing a car that wasnt yours for times would you? People arent kidding about the rpm needed to launch those things correctly. I doubt most people who own this car will do that to it. I've driven one before and the engine doesnt feel much (if any) different from a Civic 1.8 under 4,000rpm. From there up its a different story. I think you have a chance, but a 350tpi would most likely win.

I was in my friends LT1, with intake/exhaust we had 3 total passengers, and raced an s2000, the guy took us off the line by about 2 car lengths cause we spun quite a bit we drove it up to around 80 mph but lost by 1 car length. The guy droped it at around 6000 or so and it just hooked
