Just thought this was funny. Short and sweet. 2 lane road, an old Volvo station wagon, then the Ford...forget the name at the moment, brand spankin' new, looks like a cop car, then me.

The Ford zips around the volvo which was going about 40. I passed the volvo. I was just cruising on some back roads to think.

The Ford speeds up to about 70, which is fine with me. I go about 70, hanging back about 5 or 6 car links.

He slows down to 60, then 50 and then 40....keeps looking in his mirror. Then turn to his buddies in the car and laugh. They were all probably 16 to 18 years old.

I didn't want to play around, I just wanted to get some open, carefree road under my tires.

I down shifted, and flew past him. He tried like crazy to make it difficult for me to pass, but of course I didn't break a sweat. Then he speeds up, and I know he's gonna ride my tail...so I gun it and pull away, way away and am doing about 95 or so.

I don't want to be cruising at 95...I just wanted to cruise to relax and think about some business opportunities and strategies and such. I know if I go 60 to 70, these idiots are gonna want to play.

I knew the road well, and went around a bend, lost sight of him. I pulled off on a little turn around and waited for him to pass, and I was going to turn around and head back.

As soon as he saw me there waiting to pull out he slams on the brakes....but there's too little reaction time and he goes past. I pulled out and headed back. Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, here is the same group of idiots trying to ride my tail.

So I pulled away again, going about 90 until I got about 1/2 a mile from the interstate over pass. They pulled up right behind me and tail gated me. I figured for sure they were going to follow me on the freeway, which would've been ridiculous, but luckily they just watched me go.

What a bunch of idiots. What were they thinking? Are some of those cars fast?

I mean, come on man, a civic with a fart pipe is tougher than that.

Yeah seriously, i can understand if it was a lightning. But hey, that never warrants being an idiot.

 

I think it's funny when people think they're going to keep you from passing them. Some teeny bop girl in an old Gran Prix tried that the other day, with like 3 other people in her car! She pulled the old go slow through the 60 mph curves and then speed up when I go to pass. Needless to say she didn't have a prayer.
