my friends dad just got an RSX 6 speed and my friend thinks its sooo fast. Im sure its quick, but i doubt it would "walk" my Z like he claims. this kid doesnt really know a whole lot about cars.... hell he has a modded 6 cylinder mustang lol! I know the RSX would tear me apart on the highway, but im confident i could take it in a stop light race. the specs say it all. i got more hp and torque!

I have pretty much the same car as you and I'm afraid to say you would get beaten. The RSX runs a 14.7 or so. I know MY best so far is 15.0 so he'd have me by a few lengths. I wouldnt put money on it if I were you.

i didnt know those cars ran in the 14s i thought they only had 200hp and a weeny amout of torque. i guess i was misinformed, he will have to wait for my 383 i guess

Keep in mind how light the car is, and that it has good gearing (6 speed). If he cant drive stick well you might get him, but dont count on it.

I raced one a while back. It wasn't a type S however...just the normal RSX with 180HP or so and a 5-spd? Anyway, It was some ****y kid who's parents jut bought them the RSX so he thought he was king or something. Anyway I was getting a coffee one night at a Dunkin Doughnuts where he and his import buddies were hanging out and he challenged me to a race. I accepted only after repeated harassment by him and his friends. He followed me up to the road with his friends riding behind to watch.

Needless to say I toasted him. I had 2 or 3 cars by 40MPH and still pulling. I let off at 70ish and he eventually came by blinking his flashers like he won. I still see him once in a while and he still drives like an ***

I drove one the other day, once it gets going it's really pretty quick. They are about 2700 lbs (pretty light) and the gearing keeps them between 4500-8000 rpms the whole time if you drive it right... I would leave these to the 350's...

BTW- the interior is REALLY nice in these..

Those cars are rated to go 14s, but the average is between a 15.1 and 15.6, depending on driver. They are also dogs off the line, unless launched at rediculous RPMs.

i realize those cars are quick, and that 305 TPIs arent exactly the fastest things around, but my massive torque advantage (about 100 foot pounds i belive) would alow me to smoke him off the line. i am well aware that i would probably not win in the 1/4 hell i dont even race this car anyways its just in too good of shape, im just talking hypotheticly.
