"fast RSX" vs "slow RS"

Ok heres' something funny that happened to me about a week ago. I was crusing with my friend whos got a '96 Z24. I was in front of him and I saw him get cut off by something. We pull up to the light that turns onto jefferson ( rt. 52) notorious for racing. I look back and it was a dark colored RSX. He was right on my ***, so I gave him some rubber and exhaust to smell, since his nose was already in my butt. The light turns green and I take off normally. He punched it to get next to me and looked at my car. I saw him look again and laugh at me! He laughed! It was two chineese teens driving a newer Dark Blue Acura RSX Type S, the one with 210 hp. Anyways, after he laughed at me, I heard him punch it. About two seconds later, I dropped it into second, going about 40. My front end lifts a good 4 inches and I launch great! I caught up to him before I shifted into 3rd. I was getting car after car on him, and at around 3,500 RPM in 4th gear, I was about 5 cars infront of him going about 80 mph. I slammed in my brakes and slowed back to the 35 mph speed limit. He came flying up next to me and looked at my car again. He look at my car, and he was p1ssed! I looked at him and waved, and when he looked at me, I pointed and laughed. He was so asshamed that he turned around at some itiallian resterant. Me and my friend meet up at Taco Bell and talked for awhile. It was hellarious! My buddy said that the RSX laughed at his Z24 too! The kid was an @$$. thought Ide share. Later.

Heh, good kill. Betcha you're making some pretty good power with that 305. You're not running the stock intake are you? I don't see any mention of an intake on your page. Maybe I missed it?

According to your site, it says that you sold the supercharger for new seats and console. Why?

the rsx-s' are nothing to be laughed at. with CAI, header, and exhaust they can run a very very low 14, which is probably better than a lot of the cars on this board.

but still, if that guy saw your huge slicks and still laughed at you, he must be an idiot. his car is pretty fast for a 4 cylinder, but i bet he thought you were just another slow rs

An Acura my be just an upscale Honda, but the Acuras shouldn't be taken as lightly as the Civics because the engines are quite a bit more powerful, especially the Acura CL.

A friend of mine down the street from me has a slightly ****d out RSX-S, all I can say is the thing is pretty fast. Deffinitely faster than my RS.

He also has a 500+ HP 1970something Chevy truck, I have no idea why he bought a RSX-S.

Ok, first off, I never sold my supercharger for my seats. I dont know where you get that idea, but ill fix the site soon. As a matter of fact, the supercharger is still sitting on my kitchen floor in its box. My car runs mid 13's in the quarter, and the acuras are an ok brand of cars, much better than honda. I never said the Type-s was something to be taken lightly, I just stated that he was acting like a pric*, so I let him have it. I have ported and polished intake, heads, and 3 angle valve job on the heads. That is not all my mods, just the ones closely relevant to the " stock intake" comment. Oh and I have a tb spacer, stronger springs, pushrods, and rockerarms. Most of my mods are on the website, but not all are cited. My clutch is slippin on me, so right now im running alittle slower. Ive got to buy a stage 2 racing clutch! Just in addition, I actually like the RSX-S, it looks nice, especially inside the car. But as I have stated before, and will againg in the near future, the driver is what makes the car. If you have an ashole driver, the car is shltty. If the driver is cool with you, the car is pretty nice. This is to add to the already obvious niice looking or shltty looking car. Sorry if I confused anyone, just my thoughts, scrambled and confused.
Questions?!

LOL Gotta love keeping them RS badges. My buddy with a 1990 RS, dyno'd at 390 HP, keeps the badges just to intimidate. Of course, wth twin Borla mufflers sticking out the rear, and Db's that violate FCC regulations, it's hard to hide.

But I have to say, those are the kinda kills I love to see.
