mark another one down for me

Last night coming home from Taco Bell I was driving down Route 23. I was talking to my friend about absolutely nothing important when I hear this really loud exhaust noise. All I could think was "Oh f-ing great, something new broke..." Fourtunatley it was the newer looking mustang next to me. I don't know what year it was, but it wasn't the newest body style and it wasn't very box-like. I looked over at him and he waited for what I think was three nano-seconds, it could have been longer, and then he gunned it. My friend starts yelling at me because he has no idea what is going on, so I step on it. We raced up to about 95-100 and my front end seemed to be about even with his rear bumper. I eventually got stuck behind someone and lost him before we could get to a stop light. It sounded like he had some work done to his car, but I never got the chance to ask him. I might have lost, but racing a mustang is good wholesome, slightly dangerous, fun.

By the way, does anyone have any idea of what year mustang it could have been, and maybe what kind of engine it would have most likely had?

if it wasn't the years our cars are then it would have been a 94-01 but u say it wasn't the newest so 94-98. if it was a 95 or 96 then it was prob. a 5.0. the other ones have a 4.6 but i am not sure on the exact ci of them.
