Sounds similar to the 'Merc Marauder (sp?)

Not quite my thing, but if i for some reason had $$ and wanted/needed a 4 door car...

Definately cool in its own right.

Those are cool, I saw one on speedvision, it was a kenny brown crown vic with a supercharged SOHC 4.6 It ran a 5.2 0-60 and i think a low 14. So cool, chevy screwed up huge by killing the caprice/impala ss.

The new "Sport Package" Crown Vics aren't 315 horsies...up around 15 horse from the base...can't remember off hand what the horse is. You get lots of info from salesmen when your work at a dealership. they get leather buckets, 16 unique wheels, dual exhaust, a console mounted shifter, and a few other things, mostly stiffer suspension pieces.

I'm just going to guess, but I'd assume they're probably somewhere in the mid 14 to low 15 second range. They've got the same motor that's pushing the '01 Cobra's into the mid 13's @ 3600+ lbs.

man i really think GM is droppin the ball by not makin the Impala SS anymore and now that they have quit makin the F-chassis cars, the future is really bleak. heck GM is as bad as chrysler now! all they make is junk trucks, and pathetic front drive family cars and minivans. how sad i am glad i got my IROC tho, now that GM has quit makin the f-cars, our cars will soon be more valuable.

Are you talking about the Kenny Brown (I think thats his name) Crown Vic? I saw it on Motorweek, and it was fast as hell. It was a stage 2 dubbed the panther (I think). Anyway it had a supercharger or turbo, but it was also quite expensive. GM needs to bring the Holden Caprice, UTE and Monaro from over Australia, and put them on North American streets. Plus they all have the 5.7 engine
