Been talking crap with some dude and we're going to race Friday night. Shouldn't I be able to beat him? His little ***** is mostly stock except for the fart tip and I have a Flowmaster muffler and open element and it runs great. I should win easy right?

I would say so. Just make sure he doesn't have any power adding stickers or donot switches. (donot= do-nothing). lol. You'd better make sure that the race doesn't turn into a high speed session, or he will win the bragging rights. Your car shuts off at 115mph. -Randy

You should take him with no problem. The Civics that I see can hardly run 16s, and this car sounds no different. I say race him and watch out for spray.

you should most likely be able to beat him.
a lot depends on his car if its a dx model with just an exhaust, then no problem, but if its an ex with an intake and exhaust, and a 5 speed, then he might be able to beat you in a top end race.
i know this from personal experience-my '00 civic ex only has a short shifter and a cold air intake, and it just barely beat an rs.

however if this race is from a stop, dont try to roast your tires taking off, get traction and use your torque, your car puts out 2x the torque of his
unless he has nitrous, you will take the early lead, and he might gain, but not that much
good luck

you should destroy him since my car almost ran with a 2001 v6 accord when it was messed up...and are you sure a TBI car only goes 115....my speedo has went over that many times and it seems like its going faster.....why? because it shakes more lol
