Tell Me How to Launch

Hey guys, I got my 92 L98 powered Camaro about a month ago. I'm sixteen so I am new to driving in general and I don't have anyone in my family who's real into cars, I am the only one. Can someone tell me how to launch my bone stock car? The best I have been able to do is give about a fourth throttle up to about 2500-3000 RPMs and then gun it. Anything else spins the tires. Our cars are obviously going to put up the best fight from a dead stop, at least while their stock, so I need some help. Thanks for the advice.

Sticky tires in the rear. Crap tires and you won't hook up. I got 285/40-17 (11.5") Nitto Nt5s in the rear, and even in my stock RS I make em squeal like a pig with hardly any gas from a dead start (course I have a lead foot). But yah. Rev it to Where ever you can launch without spinning the tires much (might be 1800 rpm might be 3000), then apply power as traction permits. Go to a long staight empty road out in the middle of nowhere and practice. Also don't street race. Your too young with too much power. Even if your an amazing driver with natural talent, you don't have allot of real world experiance. Just look cool riding slooow. Thats still respectable when you have a fast car that looks cool.

P.S.

A Posi traction rear end helps.

yeah I've got the posi and I haven't street raced a day in my life(driving any way) and don't plan on it! There's this two mile stretch of road surrounded by sod farms that I use to have fun. I'll keep it on the track

Try it with a working posi and I bet that will change.

Pardon my generations language, but any douchebag can floor his car on the road. I agree with you Skelitor.
