what's your funniest rice r story

 

Flat black newer Dodge Dakota sport with flowmaster exhaust or mufflers on it pulls up next to me at a red light. ( only knew because of the 17,000 flowmaster stickers on his back window )

Light turns green and I pull a little ahead of him since my lane merged to the left. He starts to speed up to prevent me from getting in front of him. I speed up to 50. I hear him floor it now so I follow suit. Pulled away from him in Overdrive. ( It was the summer and I figured the RPM drop from shifting into OD would keep the engine a little cooler )

To this day I still wonder how much worse I would have pulled had I known to not even bother with overdrive.

I also had a 90s minivan try and race me. The guy pulled up next to me at the following light and yelled " 2 thumbs up man, 2 thumbs up " I think I got trolled...

 

dont worry, i had a like 90s saturn try racing me one day while going to my dads, that was funny!

 

Probably would have been an even race. My buddies stock and dying Saturn moves out.

 

Not sure the funniest probably one of 4 times

When an over sized harley with obnoxious piped and more chrome than a hiphop Cadillac laughed at my hondas stock exhaust and I got to have the fun of blowing him away after letting him keep up with me until 60 before I put 6 bike lengths on him between 60-100.

When I got to play with some a$$ hat in a accord with my TA.

When I got to shut down my friends 92 camaro 3.1 auto over and over again in my 1988 accord.

Destroying a fake evo (base lancer) in my TRD Solara.

 

I had a guy on a Harley behind my old bolt on 6 speed LT1 trans am that kept revving at me. I finally down shifted and punched it and he was still right up my *** lol.

 

Probably they keep up with most cars but have a little trouble with my honda. At 170+hp and 560 lbs it is fairly quick

 

well not to long ago I was working on the 88 and on of the “hot rodders” of the school was next door and decided to walk up to me and say he would race me in the half mile for 100$ I laughed amnesiac are you sure since he drives a stock v6 dodge Dakota he was like ya against your v6 firebird I looked at him like he was dumb and said it wasn't running so he walks over and says hook the carb up and it will........mind you it has a mpfi 2.8 that was torn apart cause it as leaking oil and I had the whole top end off to clean everything out cause it sat for awhile and I just laughed and walked away I sweat kids are gettin way over there heads today non of the kids at my school know what there talkin about

Had a kid in a early 90's Sentra with a big ol farter on the exhaust, wearin his gangster NEW YORK PRIDE HAT,and he was revving. Pulled away while in OD within a second lol

 

kids theses days read to many magazines and watch to many movies I may only 17 but I know a lot for a 17 year old I've been working on a race car for awhile and I've learned a lot its pretty bad when a kid is sitting next to you in the school library reading a hot rod mag and says to his friend look at that procharger alternator......I leaned over and said that's not a alternator he argued lmao

When I had my lt1 car some dude pulled out of a gas station after me in an early 90s late 80s Nissan or Honda 4 door. I used to live in a industrial area, and I was watching this guy speeding up to catch me, so to avoid him I turned down a 2 lane street. It was pretty deserted, and this guy decided to pull up next to me in the opposite lane in this beater and start yelling at me saying how my garbage American car would loose to his 6 cylinder 4 door. So I got sick of it, and dropped to first and nailed it. I was putting distance between us but not as much as I thought, and I heard his turbo whining and his bov. Afterwards he did a ***** flyby and I smelled birth rubber. Turned around and saw that I left two loooong black tire marks, I was spinning the whole time

 

I have a 2 door Civic in my town that a girl drives around. It's silver with black tribal decals all down the side of the car. It says V-tec Power in front of both rear wheels on the lower portion of the car and has a V-tec Power emblem, Yes emblem, made out of plastic. Prob custom made.... Saw this car everywhere and finally one night I was driving along in the ol 89' and she came up beside me, looked over then looked away all snooty like the Camaro was nothing to her civic. I even out with her and I hear the Hamsters start screaming so I drop a few gears to 4th (going about 60mph) and I walk right on by. After I shutdown she tries a Riiicc-eerrr flyby and I drop the girl into 3rd this time where she really shines and dusted her like nothing. Of course she still did a flyby after though. hahaha O I found pics I took of it one day I saw it!

Pretty Sick ride eh?

 

unfortunately my funniest race story is too long to type out and in the end not really all that good....

 

I was on my way to college one day when some guy in a Civic kept getting on my tail and then dropping back after a few revs on the highway. Finally, he switches to the other lane and guns it, so I just give it a little more gas and accelerate to 80 at about half throttle. By this time, he's neck and neck with me when I heard the sound of his motor change, and he revved higher. He inched away for 2 seconds, the I started hearing what sounded like marbles in a can. I knew it wasn't my motor so I decided I better get away from this guy, and I floored it. Within a few seconds I was about 2 car lengths away when I saw a huge puff of smoke in my sideview mirror and the guy jumped 3 lanes over to pull over to the side.

I was young and immature back then so I got off at the next exit, came back around and got back to where the idiot pulled over in the shoulder. looked like he blew up his motor. Rolled down the window and pointed and laughed. Then went on cruising to school.

 

I was driving my 86 TA to college one weAndover the highway and every day a stock dodge neon with a factory turbo would pull up next to me and rev a few times and take off. After about 3 days of this I was waiting on him and when he tried to pull I away I eased up and got up to 70. About that time he drops a gear and I follow suit and with in a 4-5 secs I couldn't see his little neon in my mirror. A min or so later he flys by like he's a hard ***. Slow A@@ piece of junk.

 

Two years ago I had night classes twice a week. By the time I got off every piece of rice in town had nothing better to do than drive around and rev at people. I swear most of them were just base model clones with no mods I destroyed a "Lancer" and an eclispe "gsx". Several Hondas with underglow. PT Crusiers with flames and dragons. Just about all of them have a huge NOS sticker. Never seen one in real life that's fast, just fart cannons slower than a L03. And that's why I have zero respect for that scene.

 

But hell the best one is probably the eclispe that has more stickers on it than a whole nascar team, massive spoiler that I swear would smack a 15 foot bridge. Crappy black spray paint all over the hood and gfx. This iis the only time I ever started it with one of these wannabes. Had my tops off and I reved a little and shouted at him "hey wanna run em?" By the time I was 4 car lengths away he slammed the brakes and turned off hahaha. God I miss having a good rearend

 

I have a friend that's got a stock scion tc 5 speed with K&N intake. He thinks he has the fastest car around. And it's even got the NOS stickers. It's got some pep but that's bout it. It's sad that every one wants a little import.

 

I have the best one, I come up to a stop light and this smart car pulls up next to me, and my buddy was following me in his 300zx twin turbo with about 4xxrwhp. The smart car is revving its odd-sounding engine. So.. the light turns green and I give my bird a light punch, my buddy in the 300zx follows.. This smart car flew by us so fast and we tried keeping up.. No chance in any way. 2 weeks later I see the same smart car at Quakers, so I talk to the guy.. he had a GSX1300R in it. No wonder...

 

Yep I have heard of those. They beat Ferraris like they are nothing....

Really? Do you know how many meters are in a 1/4 mile?
13.20 in the 1/4 is hardly capable of beating a Ferrari.

 

Idk about meters but there are 1320 feet in a quarter mile. Besides it's kind of hard to argue with video evidence. Also no one ever specified what Ferrari.

 

Me and my dad were in his custom 400+hp Magnum R/T one day, and there was this little early 90s VW sedan (I forget exactly what its called), he had blacked out rims and a fart can in the rear, and he kept reving his engine over and over, and trying to race us. Finally we pull up at a light and it turns green and we nail it just to shut him up. We killed him of course, and I think he was just happy to hear the V8 roar.

Another time we were on our way home (in the same car), with me and my brother in the car plus my dad driving (plus some stuff in the rear). It was raining and the roads were WET (this is back when we lived in Seattle). This Custome 06 Subi STI Comes up beside us and we give each other the look and gun it. We expected him to kill us, but to the contrary, we destroyed him. IN THE WET. He was dissapointed that a family wagon killed him to say the least, but also pretty impressed that it was as fast as it looked haha.

 

There's 5280 feet in a mile.

Cruisin home in my TA about 5 years ago, a CRX pulls up to me about half a mile from the uphill part of the highway. He looks at me and i look at him. He's admiring the TA and gives a thumbs up, then he revs the crap outta his stock motor with only a muffler on it. I give it a little blip and he takes off. Well by "takes off" i mean goes from 55(spd limit) to about 70. I give the TA about an 1/8 more throttle and stay along side him, mind you his motor is screaming. Then the hill....

i'm just holding 70 and he's falling back. haha. i figured he gave up so i be nice and fall back to him (about 55) and i hear him down shift so i drop it into third and hammer down. i tap 100 and he's about 20+ cars behind. dont even think he hit 65 on the hill.

 

haha. No torque.

Thinking nothing of it we just continued on until he swung in behind us and finally pulled along side. We both dropped down to about 60 and after a few seconds he punched it. I dropped gears and took off on him. After hitting 100 I let off and waited for him to catch up. He gave us an angry look and sped off.

oh wait, did you want stories of us strictly crushing "rice".....

an eclipse replica from 2 fast 2 furious was at a light with me and was revving his engine like crazy and thought his car sounded "cool"....light turned green and i was out....while his car burst into flames from under the hood and he was running away.. pretty sure i won : )
