0-60 times
I haven't raced this motor yet but I was wondering what my 0-60 time would be for a roller Chevy 355 with Forged pistons, LT4 Hotcam, Holley Stealth Ram, 24lb bosch injectors, Pro Comp aluminum 64cc heads with larger than stock valves and 1.6 RRs, longtube headers, with a 700r4, and a 2.77 rear end gear? This is with the transmission in drive shifting at 5200 rpm (havent changed out the springs yet). I want to see what people here say. I'll tell you that it feels a lot quicker than stock.
Also, post your 0-60 times if you know them.

Re: 0-60 times
Not great. 2.77 gears are not a great choice for anything but a land speed racer. If you have a stock torque converter, that is not good either.. This driveline combo plus the fact that you built a higher rpm engine(higher than stock) does nothing but kill 0-60 times. I bet it runs well in the 1/4 mile though. I dont know anything about pro comp heads but it sounds like a 375+hp combo. 2.77 gears/stock converter makes it accellerate like a 300hp combo.. high 13's.. Get gear/looser converter and mid-high 12's is probably possible! Goodluck!

Re: 0-60 times
Pro comp heads and a LT4 hot cam... Ouch I am sorry that is a really bad combo. Those heads don't flow well at all below 500 lift. Glad you did the 1.6 RRs
Although it should make ok power but with that rear end, maybe 5.5 - 6 seconds.

Re: 0-60 times
I'll be upgrading the transmission with a stage 3 shift kit in the Spring, then eventully install a 3.27 or 3.42 gear in the rear.

Are you wanting to drag race, road race, autocross or just an all around street/ strip & drive it to the mall?
