So I was cruising home this past weekend and two sport bikes pull up behind me and stay there for a few blocks, they were loud and (I assumed modified).

Well, they pull next to me at a stop light, about a block from my destination, and start revving, clearly wanting my attention. I look at them and give a polite smile and shake my head, no.

Well the two guys realized that I thought they wanted to race and actually speak at this point and say "oh no, no, just get on it!"

I appreciated the sentiment, and when the light turned green I left two nice long black lines, and two big smiles on the biker's faces.

Not a street race, but a good story I thought. It's nice that not everyone is looking to race.

 

Ha! reminds me of the time I lit up my tires after leaving the uphostery shop. The guys there wanted to see what I had. So I put on a show and after the smoke a cop caught up with me and I was cited for "improper pull away". I had to take defensive driving.
