how much nitrous? just make sure it is a race you can get traction in and i am sure you will have no problem, you have gobs of torque, he doesnt. my brother has a 00' civic ex with a header, cat back, cold air intake and ignition stuff, and he barely took an si, but that is not saying a lot. if its like the 00', it has 160 horsepower. you should have it.

i think this will be a close race, but im not sure who would win, b/c i think that either could.
for the civic to win, he has to be a good driver and know when to spray. also what size spray is the nos? if its a 50 shot, then you probably have the upper hand, if its a 70 shot, it could be by inches, but if its more than that, then the civic could beat you.
i knew a guy that had a 2000 civic dx (rated 106 hp stock) and he had the same intake as me, but an exhaust and a 70 shot of nos, and his car ran like 14 flat or somewhere in that range. now that's not terribly fast, but when you take an si that has 160 hp, plus the aggressive cam profile in high rpm, you have a shot at mid to high 13's if you can drive.
if this race is from a start, you will destroy him off the line (i heard somewhere that the ford 2.0 zetec puts out more tq to the wheels than the si does to the flywheel, but an si will cream a focus, heck even my ex will beat a focus)
race and tell us the results
good luck

Heh Im defenetly gonna race him from a stop

As for as traction problems I really dont got any. I got some nice fat z rated tires with a posi rear end. I mean I can get a little squeel romping it when the wheels are straight, but I get a nice jump off the line.

Car runs 100% like its suppose to

you definately have the advantage off the line, and the question after that is whether he'll be able to pull on you. like i said, it depends on the shot he has.
now if you guys were chasing each other on the freeway, he would most likely edge you out, if he knows how to drive. a lot of people are afraid to wail on those things and thats where they make their power.
my civic has beat a stock rs and many other cars on the freeway, but off the line, id probably have a lot of ground to catch up, b/c i have no torque and to launch good i usually end up w/ wheel spin

what year did you say again? if it was 2001, then its not an si, prob. just an ex. they only made the si in 99-2000. but if it is a 2001 then it has the same 127 base power as me but more tq (i think 114), but mods on those cars dont add as much power as the comparable ones would add to mine, b/c those are obd III and mine is obd II

My cars stored now, but he just e-mailed me outta no where. He said everyone is telling him to race me-lol

I dont wanna brag but

[brag] I took out all of his import friends [/brag] and now everyone wants to see me lose

I just went through my money today, I can afford headers now. So I will hopefully have them on by spring/summer!
