So I bought a 1989 camaro RS a while back, and it runs "ok", but I was thinking to myself "Should I make my camaro a drag racer in the sense of gut not needed weight, install a roll cage, new engine, and performance parts yada yada, or fix it to almost stock conditions,as a show off kinda deal to just kinda "Flex" "? I am new to this Forum group and would love some feedback, below is a picture of my car, it was taken by my phone so its not the best quality.
also she sports a 305 with a 3 speed auto, though I am thinking of swapping it out to a decent 350, and change the EFI to a carburetor.
Just keep it fun, whatever that means to you. Personally, I like fast cars but I don't want a drag car. That's my version of fun. Now tell us your version....
350. Its a nice car. Add a posi-trac rear, a mild 350, and have some fun driving it. You can get a chip burned or learn how to do it yourself and keep the TBI or by going carb eliminate the headache of tuning and make more power than your TBI. I'm not sure yet if I wont just go carb myself when I build mine.
Thanks now that I think about it it was a silly question since I gatta think practical and since I'm no millionaire I'll just keep it simple and maybe just make it a nice running fast car since I just want something that lights up tires and looks good and sounds good doing it .... At least it's always better than my friends rice burner Civic lol.
