Rt10

I believe thats what it is called. The new dodge powertruck being made to compete, and it appears to be able to take out the lightning. I know it has a V10. Anyone know what the power rating or ET is on this thing?
GM should bring back the Silverado 454 SS :hail:
Thats one bad truck.

Better yet, why don't they put some guts into the new SSR, no Manual and a 280 HP engine is not going to scare a lightning or a GT for that matter.

8100 SS now that would be a bad *** truck :hail:
just make it allwheel drive, and while they're at it make the t56 an option. it would only be some time before lingenfelter or someone like that would come up w/ a s/c for the thing

I heard that dodge is briging back the HEMI! I saw it in hotrodding mag I think. Any one else hear these rumors. Granted it going in to a work type truck. But that would be cool to smoke a sports car pulling a trailer full of hoarses.

I think your talking about the Ram SRT/10 truck. It's going to have the new 500HP Viper motor with a 6 speed. Est 1/4 mile time is 12.9 sec It'll be doing more than taking out Lightings, It'll be taking out LS1's as well

12.9 thats it? A stock SS does that. A Mustang magazine tested an SS and it ran 12.9 in 110* weather. and With only 325 HP

I'd guessed that the SRT/10 would have neen low 12 or 11's.

Oh well, maybe I will pick on them when I'm done with my 305, It wont go 12.9 or have 500HP, But I'm sure I'll get him off the line.

but you have to remember that it's a truck and they weigh a lot!
plus they don't hook up that well, especially if it has a one-legged rear axle(but it prolly won't)

gm, where are you on this one? your 2 biggest competitors have high perf. trucks
just stuff the 8100 motor in a 1/2 ton, put a posi on it (or awd will do nicely ) and (please) make it available with a manual tranny

Yeah after wring what I did I was thinking it just couldn't get the power to the pavement. But I dont thhink trucks are that heavy are they? I mean a 3500 Duelly will be, but just a standatd truck?

Oh yeah, I also read in the paper that SLP is now making packages for rangers, I forget what they are called, but geez, this is horrible in my opinion. Trucks are cool, and them being fast and all, but enough is enough. Their stucture just isn't designed for speed. Never has been.
