Hell on wheels!
Alright guys, this is the deal. My friend and I are dropping a Ford 302 out of an 82 Mustang rated at 330 hp into his Triumph TR7 with a Ford Ranger 5-speed. For such little cars they are heavy (about 3000 lbs with motor, driver, and 1/2 tank gas) and since they were made for hillclimbing competitions this sucker's already got 3.80's or 4.10's in the rear. If he can keep traction, what do ya think he'll run in the quarter (he's a very experienced driver)? Any guesses on how long it'll take him to kill himself?

Hey I didn't say it was the perfect setup... he's looking for a tranny out of a mustang as well, but this will have to do for now cause it's free. :lala:

I know how that is. When I had a built 302 put in my '80 4banger stang, my Dad kept the stock motor mounts and tranny. I never could floor it, when your Dad says you could break a motor mount or have the tranny die, it kind of scares a 16yr old kid, who has his first car.
